Walking around my local town trying out my new camera I noticed the town contained a lot of old an interesting architecture.
I shot this in colour but converted to Black and White using photoshop adding contrast to the sky to give a 'gritty' feel to the image.
This is a lovely photo and converting it to black and white makes it really characterful!
The grittiness is wonderful and the high contrast works really well.
The only thing I can't get out of my mind is that "The Old Eight Bells" seems to be leaning back a little - almost like a gravestone! (sorry!)
I'm guessing Rob took this in Nottingham. If so then it does indeed have its fair share of old buildings.
Although it's been a while since I visited Robin Hood county The Lace Market in particular sticks in my mind, as does the Market Square. Both very photogenic.
Thanks for the submission Rob,
Darrell.
