I saw these birds as I was looking out my kitchen window on a cold, overcast winter day.
Something about the composition caught my eye, and I knew what I wanted to do; absolute black and white, no detail.
My husband likes this shot, too.
Well done Sandy to see the potential in this scene.
Usually black and white photography involves pure black, pure white, plus a few shades of grey in between.
But there is always the option of just the black and white. And here it works really well.
The silhouette looks great, and it really does seem cold!
